This is the “Nakayoshi-ya” farmland.
Preserving our family business and the tradition and culture handed down in our family and our island, we are determined to communicate what we believe “quality” from the bottom of our heart.
We are a citrus fruit grower of the tradition of using no chemical and fertilizer since 1890 based in our own farmland in Shimokari-cho, Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture surrounded by fertile nature as the Inland Sea and mountains.
In our vast fertile farmland we are mainly growing Hassaku orange (Citrus hassaku), lemon, Amanatsu orange (Citrus natsudaidai) and Satsuma orange (Citrus unshiu).
With “original breed,” “no chemical and no fertilizer” and “the power of the nature” always in our mind, we pursue the farming of “letting the nature to do its work” instead of relying on human maneuvering.
There are, in fact, only as ten or less farmers that are growing the lemon of original breed in Japan.
“Nakayoshi-ya” the naturalist farmer is one of the very few farmers that are growing the lemon of original breed.
○ Annual yield:
Hassaku orange: approx. 3,000 / Amanatsu orange: approx. 5,000 / Satsuma orange: approx. 4,000 / small decorative orange with a leaf (Citrus kinokuni): approx. 2,000
We are expecting to harvest a number of different varieties of citrus fruits at our farmland.
(Please be noted the annual yields are our prospects.)
